Malith brings over 12 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong background in claims management, underwriting support, insurance operations and client service. His experience spans both personal and commercial insurance, giving him a broad understanding of underwriting, claims, risk and the needs of clients.

Before relocating to New Zealand, Malith built extensive international insurance experience, progressing into claims management and handling a wide range of insurance matters. His experience includes Property, Marine, Engineering, Liability, Personal Accident, Workers’ Compensation and Travel insurance, with expertise in claims assessment, coverage analysis, investigation, negotiation, recovery and subrogation. He has also supported underwriting activities including quotations, new business, renewals, endorsements and policy administration.

At Advisory Window, Malith works alongside our clients and advisers to support general insurance solutions and deliver efficient, practical outcomes. His background across both claims and underwriting gives him a well-rounded understanding of the insurance lifecycle and enables him to bring a thorough and analytical approach to each client’s needs.

Malith holds a CII Level 3 Certificate in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK, a Graduate Diploma in Management from Business Management School, Sri Lanka, and a Diploma in Financial Accounting. He is currently completing a Master of Management by Thesis at ICL Graduate Business School in New Zealand.

Malith is known for his attention to detail, analytical approach and problem-solving skills. He is passionate about building strong professional relationships, supporting clients and advisers, and bringing his international insurance experience to the New Zealand market.
