Lahiru was born and raised in Sri Lanka. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from National School of Business Management, Sri Lanka. Prior to migrating to New Zealand, Lahiru managed operations at Colombo Port Services Pvt Ltd, servicing the busy Colombo International Container Terminal.

Lahiru lives with his wife, Sachi, and their beloved Furbaby, Bruno, in Wellington. An avid cricket player and a fan, Lahiru enjoys a good game of cricket on a sunny Wellington day and quality time with his friends and family, outside of work.
