Amila is an insurance professional with over eight years of experience and a strong background in Mathematics and Statistics. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Jaffna. With extensive experience in Sri Lanka’s insurance sector, Amila specializes in customer experience management and broker servicing.
He began his career as a Senior Customer Relations Assistant in Sri Lanka and steadily progressed to Head of Customer Care. In this role, he led customer experience management initiatives, designed and implemented customer satisfaction surveys, analyzed market opportunities related to customer excellence, and investigated competitor activities. He also oversaw the customer complaints management process, ensuring compliance with the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka.
In addition to his expertise in customer service, Amila has gained experience in underwriting, business development, marketing, and administration throughout his career.
Currently, as a Commercial Broker Support professional, Amila manages the General Insurance portfolio, ensuring top-tier service and operational efficiency. His expertise spans Commercial Vehicle Insurance, Personal and Commercial Property Insurance, Liability Coverage, Transit Insurance, and other General Insurance products, all aimed at delivering the best possible service to clients.
